Danielle speaks at the United Nations
PATH co-founder, Danielle McLaughlin, representing her work with Horizon 2045 on legal strategies to advance the elimination of nuclear weapons, recently had the opportunity to speak at the United Nations as part of a panel titled, “Interconnections: A reflection on nuclear weapons and SDG implementation.”
The panel was part of UNITAR’s series on “The 2030 Agenda and global challenges.” This session, organized with the Hiroshima Organization for Global Peace (HOPe) and the Hiroshima Prefecture, highlights how Russia’s invasion of Ukraine escalates the threat of use of nuclear weapons and the need for a more sustainable security paradigm, beyond nuclear threats.
